With over 100 Hard Rock Cafes across the world all with their own signature burger that has some relevance to the city that they are home of you can imagine that there are many different variations, Throughout May and June Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh are taking part in the World Burger Tour to showcase some of the magnificent burger flavouring other cities across the world have to offer. Along with the carefully created cocktails to go with each burger.
I was invited along to have a taste!
So the burgers that are available in Edinburgh are;
Tandoori Chicken Burger (Mumbai, India) a marinated chicken with spices and fresh herbs cucumbers slices, this is me being brave, I am really rubbish when it comes to spicy food but I just managed this and I have to say I really enjoyed it, there were so many different flavours going on but all complimented each other so well. This was a firm favourite of my sisters (pictured above)
Java Lava Burger (Seattle, United States) – Can we talk about how much fun it is to say Java Lava! This was actually my favourite, it tasted like a traditional burger but flavourings turned up to 11! A grilled beef burger with an espresso rub with lava sauce, crunchy onions, bacon and cheddar cheese!
Giardiniera Deli Burger (Chicago, United States) – Another beef burger with delicious melted provolone cheese, giardiniera peppers! This tickled my boyfriends tastebuds the most!
Jamaican Jerk Burger -(Montego Bay, Jamaica) – Last but by no means least is this tropical Jamaican beef burger with interesting banana pepper, mango jalapeno cream cheese and jerk mayo, this was the only burger I didn’t try due to the jalapeno but it’s certainly something different to try for those who love a good experimental dish!
Along with the burgers are 3 cocktails and one mocktail to compliment each burger!
All Jacked Up which features Jack Daniels Tennessee honey, sailor jerry spiced rum and lime juice amongst other things!
Crisp Slipper– A refreshing number with a strong cucumber taste featuring Hendricks, monin cucumber, lemon, orange, and raspberry!
Melonpalooza is right up my street with a mix of Midori Melon liqueur, malibu rum and house made sour mix and pj garnished with pineapple and strawberry! Mouth-wateringly delicious.
Black Cherry Melonade (Non-alcoholic) was just as good as the spirit induced drinks with a mixture of black cherry, monin cucumber topped with ginger beer! It’s the perfect alternative for those wanting something exciting but without the alcohol
If you have never been to a Hard Rock Cafe before, it’s basically an American diner meets MTV, famous for its incredible decor of music memorabilia, the Edinburgh cafe is a snug little spot, kinda like a downtown New York haunt… With widescreen TVs on the wall playing non-stop music it really is the perfect place for any music lover to dine.
Remember the World Burger Tour is for a limited time only so visit Edinburgh or your nearest participating Hard Rock Cafe soon!
