Valentines Makeup 2017

As February 14th looms I’m going to share as I always do a Valentines Makeup Look… In the past 2 years, I’ve shared a cute pinky/lilac look and last year a rose red eye look! I’m excited to share this playful purple look with you.

The Base

Starting with Naked Foundation to give me a very natural look (which it does all the more when you use a beauty sponge to apply – seriously your skin looks as good as a Disney Princess). I then used Charlotte Tilbury’s bronzer from the Bronze and Glow duo palette to do a little chiselling, well chiselling really isn’t the word, just trying to make my face look less like the shape of a full moon. To give myself some blushing cheeks I used the very appropriate heart shaped Love is King blusher from Too Faced – too faced blushers are incredibly pigmentated so a little goes a long.
I opted for Benefits Shy Beam to do some highlighting, it’s a matte liquid highlight so it adds just a nice natural glow, it’s also great to apply to the brow bone.

 The Eyes

After priming my eyes I used Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette using the purple shade Candied Violet it has gorgeous pink glitters running through it, so pigmentated and applies smoothly with little fallout! I took a little bit of the pink on my waterline to give it a Lil bit of a shimmy shimmy… I’ve recently been reunited with Stila’s Stay All Day eyeliner, the control you have of this liner is great, it does exactly what you want it to do! I don’t feel myself unless I have a bit of a cat flick… I didn’t go too overboard or to minimal – I decided to go simple with my lashes too and used YSLs Babydoll, they give beautiful fluttery lashes, very natural and flirty almost.

The Lips

Seeing as for Valentines I won’t be going anywhere fancy, I decided to go with a nice matte pink as it compliments the purple well… I used Kylie Cosmetics KoKo K.

So whether you’re going big or small for Valentines Day this look is simple but sweet enough for any surprises your significant other may have for you!
