The Blushed Nudes | Maybelline

Upping the “drugstore” makeup game and perhaps trying to keep up with the premium brands, Maybelline has released their range of eyeshadow palettes. With 12 shades the Maybelline Blushed Nudes(£7.99) has a striking resemblance to Urban Decays Naked 3, consisting of mostly shimmer and one matte the little dinky palette is filled with dusky pinks, copper pinks and very glamorous dark purple with heavy pink glitter.

Side by side there is no denying that this is a dupe but does this budget alternative match the well loved and the so highly rated quality of the Naked 3?

At first swatch the shadows are impressively pigmented, smooth and creamy, not dusty like other high street brands can sometimes be.

The palette comes with a double-ended applicator, one end the traditional sponge applicator, the other end synthetic hair brush, it isn’t completely useless either…
One swipe picks up the right amount of colour and I found them very easy to work with, the shadows blended very well together making a very pleasant application.

Do the shadows last as long on the eyes? Not quite as long as the more expensive Naked 3 but there is a significant difference in price and for what you pay for I think they are great quality and i’m really impressed.

The size of the palette is great for travelling giving it a bonus point and it is very prettily designed giving off less feel of a budget product.

Thanks for reading
