I’ve recently come back from a week away from a holiday cottage, it’s not my first time staying in this house but I was so in love with it the first time that around that I was so excited when my parents said they had booked for a week during Summer.
You can read about the house from my post back in February here.
Here are some photos from the week, unfortunately, the weather was mainly raining but there’s no other house I would want to spend rainy days inside.
Having a break away is the perfect time to recharge the batteries, have long lies without feeling any guilt and eating all the food and pretending that the calories don’t count and we ate a lot of food.
Everybody had that sense of having nowhere to be, in the moments where the rain would stray we would go for walks and sit in the garden and watched as horses walked past!
I’m also a big board game fan, usually, I can never get anyone to play with me but when you’re on holiday everyone seems to be game! A good old game of trivia pursuit… I wish I could tell you my team won but we didn’t, despite our cheating.
I’m such a sucker for cute little villages but I’m a bit of a nightmare to go exploring as I want to take a photograph of every cute little cottage and all the flowers!
We found the greatest bakery filled with the most amazing cakes, not gonna lie I went in and bought so many cakes! Despite eating a load of cake the night before.
Since returning home we’ve booked the house for 2 more occasions, including my birthday!
Its taken me so long to edit this post! I had so many photos to include and I kept getting overwhelmed. Bad Louise.
