We all know the importance of a good skincare routine when removing makeup… but sometimes, SOMETIMES I’m too sleepy but the guilt of sleeping in my makeup is too much and can cause skin consequences but life is such. So I have 2 products for such occasions which I keep on my bedside table easy to grab for those inevitable lazy nights.
Clinique’s Take the day off makeup remover for lids lashes and lips is the perfect no-nonsense heavy duty makeup remover that allows you to take off stubborn eye and lip makeup without having to use a good cleanser. Being clinique it’s fragrance-free and of course so gentle on the skin It is a little oily and can leave a little residue, however, my second step to this fuss-free makeup removal helps with that. It melts away your eyeliner and mascara and if like me you’re a lover of matte liquid lipsticks then this will ensure it’s all gone at the end of the day.
I have been using the Garnier Micellar cleansing water for a long time now. I’ve lost count of how many bottles I’ve gone through. This stuff has been a lifesaver, whether it’s removing my makeup at the end of the day or cleaning up any eyeliner mishaps, I always have this micellar water at the ready. This is perfect for taking off any other leftover makeup and removes any residue from the ‘take the day off’. It’s so gentle on my skin and although it may not have the same benefits as using a cleanser, it’s a great alternative for quick removal.
After all the makeup is off, I, as always apply some moisturiser. Don’t forget to moisturise!
They’re both great cheats for removing makeup in no time and all you need is a cotton pad and I can do it from my bed… Perfect.
