The Four Step Skin Care Routine
So this routine is when i’m being really good to my face and I do every step of my skin care routine, which I should be doing everyday but ya know… sometimes I’m just too tired after a day of work, other nights I might miss one or two steps but here we go…
I start with using my Garnier Micellar water(£3.33) to remove any make- up that I have on, this has been my favourite micellar water i’ve tried, and on my real lazy days I will just use this stuff to take my make-up so that i’m not sleeping in it… it’s such a quick and easy step as all you need is cotton pads, not rinsing no fuss… However in my four step routine this is just the first step prepping for my step two.
This step I do every couple of days if a face and body scrub from Lush called Ocean Salt (£7.25). I feel like this may be to harsh on my skin every-night so once or twice a week I add this step into my routine…. This scrub helps clear and remove dead skin cells, it has a very limey, peppermint scent to it which makes it refreshing so this is a product that would be quite nice to use in the morning. I feel like it is the product you can use to wash a long hard week off you… It can also be used as a body scrub too!
After the scrub I really enjoy using the Body Shop Camomile Cleansing butter (£13) for a bit of some TLC, it also melts away any eye-make up thats a little bit more stubborn to come off (i.e waterproof mascara). This cleanser I use at night mainly because of the scent, it’s so light that it just feels right to use before bed. I use this scrub most nights, sometimes without using my micellar water as it removes my make-up very well on it’s own too.
The final step in my skincare routine is another product from the body shop the Drops of youth Bouncy Sleeping Face Mask (£24) I add this mask an hour before going to bed, I use a small amount as a little goes a long way… this is night face mask as you do not wash it off as it will absorb during the night… I always find I wake up with my skin feeling so soft and tightened…
There we have it my evening skin care routine!
