It has been quite some time since a Boots & Superdrug based brand released a foundation that has caught my attention; L’oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation £14.99 With a cushion that soaks up the foundation and onto the sponge that comes along with the product, I was thoroughly impressed with how well this applied.
It covered up my average skin impressively well although it is a buildable foundation, so you may have to take your time to increase the coverage but once you do it leaves such a natural finish.
It works well with my dry skin, however, my skin care game is pretty spot on so my dryness hasn’t been so much of a problem. I still struggle with a little dryness on my forehead at the top of my nose but it’s work well with it. I do prefer using the real techniques makeup sponge to apply, I find I get an even better finish than the cute little sponge that comes with it.
One of my favourite things about the compact is how easy it is to touch up on the go. I simply tap and dab as if I were powdering. When I’m touching up I use the sponge that is provided as good enough for touch ups and easy to use.
I’ve used this foundation all month and I am getting close to finishing it… however I find turning the cushion upside down is a good idea as it helps you use up all the product!
I have to admit, it was until I was writing this post that i realised the foundation cost £14,99 which I thought was quite pricey for a high street brand but it definitely is the best foundation I’ve bought out of Superdrug for quite some time!
