I hope you enjoyed my last post, a more chatty life story time, it felt so refreshing to kick off the year with that style of post and I hope to write on a more personal level this year. However, 2017 may be over but beauty reviews are not and I have a lot coming up. Starting with an affordable palette that I was testing throughout December.
Makeup Revolution the cult Superdrug brand that is taken the affordable beauty world by storm teamed up with beauty Youtuber Sophdoesnails to create two dreamy products – The eyeshadow palette (£10) jumped out at me, the mini collection was popular so you may need to shop around a few Superdrug’s to find it.
Packaged in a nude case and rose gold font the Palette comes equipped with 24 colours with a combination of heavy glitters and mattes – the variety of colours will take you through any occasion, any time of the year too – which is what I really like about the palette – it doesn’t stick to a theme, be it colour or seasonal.
Most of the colours have a really creamy consistency especially the glitter based shadows, there are really beautiful glitter colours including, gold, copper, purple and khaki green. The matte shades that although are chalkier show great pigmentation; the mattes include reds, browns, burgundy and nude shades including a black and an inner corner white.
It has such a variety of colours you are able to create a number of eye looks for whatever occasion your needing. If we lived in a world where us beauty junkies didn’t need to buy palette after palette then this would be perfect as its a one and done product that covers an array of your eye makeup needs.
Like most Makeup Revolution palettes it comes with a large mirror because they know how upset we get if a palette comes without a mirror.
Also part of the collection is a highlighter palette
