L’Oreal Clay Detox Mask – First Impressions.

L'Oreal Clay Detox Mask

I was so excited to try the new L’oreal face masks, with 3 in the range all aiming to target different skin problems! The idea is that you buy all 3 and do what they call a multi-mask (I think that’s what it’s called if not I think it’s good enough) where you apply 3 masks at once but on different parts of your face to match up with their needs. I’ll save all that for another post as unfortunately, I could only get my hands on one of them The Pure Clay Detox Mask. I was going to wait until I had the other two but I got impatient! The Detox Mask includes black charcoal which is known to draw out all the bad stuff that is causing your skin to not be at its best

First Impressions

So I used a face brush to apply the mask as face masks are messy at the best of times but a black face mask… Plus using a face brush is just a much more enjoyable experience. I left it on for the recommended time of 10 minutes, it felt much like any other face mask, tight. Nothing uncomfortable just what you come to expect. I wasn’t looking forward to taking it off I have to admit however  I was pleasantly surprised to find that it came off so well when I used a face cloth… it took no time at all.
My face felt nice and soft immediately after it was washed off, it was a little blotchy, I’m not sure if that  due to rubbing my face.
Another important thing to mention is that it is strongly fragranced… which I know might not suit everyone, personally, it doesn’t bother me.

Next Day
My face feel still as soft as last night however I have noticed the appearance of blackheads on my nose and that my pores are a lot larger! I’m guessing this is at the work of the mask and is drawing out all impurities!
I was worried that the mask would make my skin a little dry as this week I’ve had a bit of a nightmare in regards to dryness but I’ll go even as close to saying the dryness has decreased overnight! hurray!

I have a few wee blemishes and spots but they are very calm and very nonoffensive and would be easily covered up with foundation. I decided to go make-up free today so not to aggravate or prolong any of the blemishes etc…

I’m really excited about the very first L’Oreal facemasks and as soon as I get the other 2 there will be a multimasking post up for you all!
