I’m not sure if it’s because I’m getting older (okay I’m only 25 but that’s when things start going downhill) and my youthful resilience begins to perish but I’ve become such a fan of skin care… always searching for something to combat all my skin problems and leave me looking like a Disney princess… I find myself scouring The Bodyshop shelves… it was during one of these sessions that I discovered the Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet… well it sounded too amazing for me to go without. Also conveniently right next to it was a gift bag with other Vitamin E goodies (I can’t find the gift set online, linked individual items) including, moisturiser, cream cleanser and toner… so I decided to dive in deep and try out a lot more of the range.
What is Vitamin E?
Vitamin E is an antioxidant which protects the cells from being damaged, protects and repair the skin from the sun.
Collagen helps keep everything in our body going including keeping our skin at it’s best… however as we grow older the levels of collagen decrease which then causes our skin to age, and become dry and just not as youthful as it once was…. Vitamin E helps restore this.
There is many more benefits of Vitamin E but I’m just going to stick to skin briefly.
The Vitamin E Skin Care Routine
So I only have just a smidge of the Vitamin E products that The Body Shop have available. But here is my step by step of how I use these beauties.
step 1. I begin with the Vitamin E cream cleanser to remove my make-up. This cleanser is really soft and gentle the perfect intro for washing off the day. My makeup melts off my face effortlessly.
Step 2. I take a cotton pad and soak it in the toner and then dab it all over my face to remove any makeup that was missed, it also claims that it’s perfect for preparing your skin to lock in any moisturiser for better more hydrated results.
step 3. After waiting a few minutes I then apply the Aqua Boost Sorbet and massage into my skin in circular motions.
The products are lovely and I love the light scent, my favourites from the bunch is the cleanser and the toner… the toner is such a nice step and really feels like its giving my skin an extra boost of hydration.
