Get Ready With Me – Wedding Guest (Part One – The Makeup)

Hey guys,
welcome to part one of my Get Ready With Me – Wedding Guest Edition. In this post, I’m sharing the makeup I used to create a the dusky/coral pink girly look with some of my current favourite beauty bits.
Part two will feature my outfit! I wanted to look girly, glowy and a mixture of glam and au – natural.

I decided last minute that I wanted to have a little colour and glow but of course it was too late to do a proper tan and 2 I’m not good at self-tanning, The By Terry, Tea to Tan * is a spray bronzer that you can apply to your face and body using your hands – once you’ve applied it, you can wash your hands to remove any intense colour or residue. The tan washes off in the shower so it’s perfect if you’re looking for a short term or a last minute tan – plus if you apply too much or anything you know it’s going to be easy to remove. I’m rubbish when it comes to tan, I don’t have the patience for it but I love using this, soo easy and just gave me a sun kissed glow. It didn’t transfer onto any clothes or bedding either.  I love it!  Also, it smells 10x better than tan!

By Terry Tea to TanFace Base - Blogger Review

I applied the Tea to Tan after moisturising – I was curious to see how my makeup would apply on top of it. This month I’ve been using Urban Decay’s Urban Defence Complexion Primer which I am loving, it’s a clear gel which creates the most amazing base, since using this primer I’ve not had a bad foundation day – even on my challenging areas like my nose and fore head which get so dry, my foundation hasn’t been an issue. It’s a complete blessing! It also helps keep my makeup in place for longer, amazingly It also has SPF 30!
I wanted a lovely natural but full coverage so I used my Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation (read full review here)

My little sister bought me a little gift recently, the Technic Colour Fix Cream Concealer palette has been a great addition to my makeup routine, I’ve been using this to contour which has been perfect and helps create such a natural shadow – I’ve totally been won over by the cream formula…. It is also great for concealing and is such a bargain at £3.99

Kylie Cosmetics Highlight in Strawberry Shortcake made an appearance to create a little glow on my cheekbones, I haven’t used this   Highlight in so long, I feel like it has enough colour in it so I usually miss out blusher when I’m wearing it.

I finally picked up a new M.A.C Paint Pot in the shade Camel Coat, the paint pots create a lovely base for your eyeshadow but also makes the colour last longer on the lids too, as much as I love Maybelline’s cheaper alternative nothing beats the real deal.
The Too Faced Sweet Peach palette didn’t really reach my expectations but I’ve decided to break it out for the pale pink eyeshadow look that I was going for!
I used the pale matte almost dusky pink shade Georgia all over the lid, it is a very faint colour so a few layers is needed, I then took Just Peachy, one of my favourite colours from the palette, it is a pinky coral with gold reflects running through it, I took this into the crease to help create a slight radiant/ombré effect… I was really pleased with results.
If you saw my last post about Dior Makeup you would have read about the Dior Show Art Pen liner It’s such a lovely liner which is super easy to use, I wanted a medium line with a little flick nothing to over the top or understated. Finally, on my eyes I used   L’Oreals Miss Baby Roll On my lashes, they curl and lift for a really lovely natural look, it’s my current fave mascara.

I’m happy to report I’m still obsessed with the Lottie London Arch Rival Brow it’s such a no-fuss, one and done product and a complete staple in my routine – I use the middle colour and brush through my hairs filling in any gaps and I’m done.

I decided that I wanted to stick with the dusky pink colour and used the Primark Get Lippy Lip kit in the shade flutter (read review here)- I wanted to wear a product that wouldn’t smudge or need to be reapplied so that I could use that time dancing (obviously).

What do you think of my look? I was really happy and felt like I really nailed the girly vibe I was going for

Part two featuring my outfit will be up soon!
