I popped into the Perfume Shop at Edinburgh’s Fort Kinnaird to have a browse at some perfumes, I was pleasantly surprised to find that even after a long day of busy black Friday shoppers that the sales advisers were still happy to help! I was asked what kind of scent I was looking for and I was given a whole lot of suggestions. When a perfume I asked about wasn’t stocked in that store the sales adviser who was assisting me was able to search, order and have it delivered to either my home or Perfume Shop of choice.
One of my favourite things to receive as a gift is perfume, I find I’m a lot less picky about the scent when it’s a gift. I feel like I’m smelling the fragrance through someone else’s… nose. It allows me to have a varied range of scents! At the perfume shop, they also gift wrap so in one shop you could be Christmas ready!
So whether you’re shopping for yourself or for someone else I feel like the advisers will be able to help you find just what you’re looking for.
Two of the most popular fragrances this year are the very luxury Si by Giorgio Armani* & Black Opium from Yves Saint Laurent*, both of which are very different scents.
Si is sweet but not overpowering, it’s light and girly and could work day and night, and I can see young and old wearing it. Black Opium is a more rich, muskier and a little less feminine, the sales advisor informed me that this has coffee in it which could be what makes it so rich, it also has a little bit of vanilla in it I feel… But bad Sandy kinda vanilla, hopefully, you get that Grease analogy or I’m gonna sound mad. This is a fragrance that I would wear in the evening when I’m all glammed up or during more winter days. Both of these fragrances are available from The Perfume Shop, they have some amazing offers on throughout the festive period too.
