A Face Of Makeup Favourites

Hey guys,
I thought I’d take a little breather and talk about some of the makeup bits that I’ve been loving lately and have been using day in and day out.
In my GRWM post, I first spoke about Urban Decays Urban Defence Primer, I don’t know if I really put into words how much I have been enjoying using it. Many people aren’t very excited about primers and I feel in that case if you don’t miss primer when you don’t use it you probably don’t need it. I for one know a primer that works well with my skin and makeup from one that doesn’t.
The Urban Defence Primer Includes SPF 30 and smooths skin amazingly to create a beautiful base. As it’s a gel it is a little greasy feeling but sinks into the skin really well so it doesn’t leave any issues. The packaging includes a pump that you can see rising so you know roughly how much product you have left and even better it makes sure you’re able to use every last bit! (£23)

I’m still really loving using Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation, I’ve been rotating through a few foundations recently but I use this when I know that I need my foundation to work well and to cover any imperfections, which I have quite a bit of at the moment. Despite its thick consistency, it applies to my skin very well and it is a dream duo with the primer I mentioned above. (£27)

Now that Autumn is in the touching distance I feel like the Burgundy Palette from Kylie Cosmetics is my current favourite eyeshadow palette and I mean it was really born to be used in Autumn, look at those colours.
The colour I’ve been using ALOT is the bottom middle called New York which is a bronze with a hint of orange and beautiful but subtle glitter running through it. The shadows are so creamy and have great pigmentation. I can’t wait to hit those red, watch this space. ($42)

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara

Amazonian Clay Tarte
I’ve recently ditched my liquid eyeliner for the Kohl liner which I’ve haven’t used for a really long time but the Amazonian Clay liner from Tarte is amazing, it’s really creamy and has great pigmentation and is not chalky like I find a lot of pencil liners. On the other end of the pencil is a smudger too.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir mascara has become my favourite, I always reach for it, it’s great at giving you thick dramatic lashes but with one coat gives your long separated lashes which I love for daytime! It’s a great product to take on holiday if you’re wanting to save on space. It also lasts all day long and doesn’t flake. Anyone else love pulling mascara off their lashes its one my bad habits but theres something soooo satisfying about it. (£22)Kylie Cosmetics Burgundy Palette Revlon Highlighter stick

You know what I love? Makeup in stick form I find so easy, just swipe and can be easily blended with the fingertips. I love this Highlighter stick from Revlon. You can create a subtle highlight or a more intense glow can be achieved with a little more product. (£9.99)

A product that I have rekindled my love for is the YSL Babydoll Kiss and Blush which I’ve been using on both my lips and cheeks for a little hint of pink. I’m having such a moment with pink lips and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. Kiss and Blush is very lightweight it doesn’t feel like you have anything on the lips. I’ve been opting for more lighter lip products as of late rather than matte lips. (£29)
