Hey, gang! I have really been loving the makeup I’ve been wearing as of late, my eyes in particular so I thought I’d give you a little insight into what products I’ve been using daily.
For my base, I have been using Frezyderm 24h moisturiser* to prime my skin, I have completely fallen in love with this product, no matter how dry my skin is this help rehydrate it and allows my foundation apply wonderfully without drying into any nasty bits… It’s great when you find a product that gives enough hydration and primes the skin – it’s cheaper and quicker. It really came to the rescue when I finished my beloved Bobbi Brown Face Base (100% would recommend).
I’m still using Clinique Beyond Perfecting foundation & concealer hybrid – it’s a full coverage foundation that despite its thick consistency it applies to my dry skin very well – I do sometimes have some issues around my nose area but I think that’s more to with my problematic skin that the product. It also lasts so well – no complaints in that area. I use a Beauty Blender* to apply the foundation as I find that it helps create such a natural result despite its full coverage. The original beauty blender is just a little sponge of magic! I don’t know how but it just makes everything better! I picked up a travel spray bottle so that I can dampen my beauty blender without having to go to the bathroom every time, such a handy purchase.
I’ve been using Benefits Hoola to contour, it’s a lot more pigmentated and orange that my usual Charlotte Tilbury but it also delivers high results and is quick to create a contoured look, I’m forever trying to give my round face some definition.
I love Lottie Londons Zac blush… such a gorgeous everyday colour, this is highly pigmentated so use a light hand when dabbing your brush…
Maybelline’s Color Tattoo Matte Cream shadow has become a staple in my everyday makeup routine, whether I’m going for a nude eye or I’m wearing shadow this is always used to create a base, not only does it help colour correct my eyelids but primes my eyes perfectly for eyeshadow application. I’ve been using Urban Decays Naked Ultimate Basics Palette using the second to last shade in the first row all over the lid. It’s a beautiful dusky pink, I think it’s been my favourite shade from this particular palette since the day I got it. By Terrys Black Star in the shade, Misty Rock has made a major come back in my makeup bag… I found that using an eyeshadow really helps make the colour stand out. I use to use it on its own but my oily eyelids didn’t mix well with the creamy consistency… I am thrilled to have stumbled into this combination as I really love it.
I’ve been using Stila’s Stay All Night eyeliner as of late, I forgot how much I enjoyed using this liquid liner, it’s so such an easy application to help create a lovely flick or neat and tidy line. It’s a great tool for those who are wanting to practice eyeliner. I’m still loving Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara*, I usually like understated lashes for during the day but I’m addicted to this stuff, they just make my lashes go POW and gives them so much volume and not to mention makes my lashes super black. l o v e it!
In my recent Beauty Bits I’m loving post I spoke about Lottie London’s eyebrow kit, I am still obsessed – in fact, I lost it for about 2 weeks and it was awful, thankfully I found it. I use the middle shade and fill in my very light brows.
For lips, I’m still reaching for Moody Margot from Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer* Lipstick, it’s such an easy colour to wear and is very pretty – on days I want a bit more colour I’ve been wearing Kat Von Ds Lolita Liquid Lipstick (pictured below), it’s a gorgeous brown with a hint of pink in it, the formula is very creamy so it’s very comfortable feeling, perfect for my no-nonsense lip phase I’m going through at the moment.
