For the first year ever I have put together a little Christmas Gift Guide, I know some years my mind is blank with what to get someone so I’m hoping some of my ideas may help you if you’re struggling with presents this year! And perhaps spot something to pop on your own Christmas list, which happens more often than not for me (Ooops)
The Girly Edit
Superdrug and Boots are a complete dream for buying gifts, with the cutest Christmas gift sets and great 3 for 2 offers! The Laura Ashley gift set is a great example, it is packaged beautifully with a box that you could keep with cute products inside, luxury with an affordable price!
From SuperDrug Tanya Burr has a beautiful festive range, the nail polish set shown above the perfect stocking filler for any nail or beauty lover. Another great stocking filler is the Garnier Moisture Bomb sheet mask! (£0.99) Everyone wants hydrated skin. The Studio Glitter Eyeliner set (£5) is a great addition for any teen girls who love experimenting with makeup and at a fantastic price!
The L.A.B.2 brush set(£19.99) is perfect for makeup lovers and for those looking for cruelty-free brushes, in this set you get a foundation brush, a buffer brush, a contour brush, and an eyeshadow brush.
Lush is also a great place to go for beautiful and fun packaging! Their sets come in all different sizes and prices and you can get different things in each so you can buy something to suit a particular person, for example, the set above is the Christmas Bathtime Favourites(£39.95) which is full of bath bombs which are perfect for someone like me who is all about the bath bombs. It would look amazingly cute under the Christmas tree.
A really cute idea is to put together a scrapbook starter kit, Hobby Craft has a great selection of things just for that!
Another hobby gift idea is the calligraphy book Nib & Ink which teaches you how write in so many beautiful styles! Books are a wonderful gift and I really recommend Bloom bt Estee Lalonde, if you know someone who enjoys reading blogs this is perfect! It has beautiful photos and little chapters about growing up, fashion, beauty, and everyday life!
You don’t have to spend lots of money to make a gift feel super special or luxurious… Last year I bought my Mum a a Chanel Blusher, and it was beautifully wrapped and put in a cute little Chanel bag with a ribbon bow and it cost me around £30… If you have a Mum, Girlfriend, Sister who is really into her makeup you can really go to town and make it super special. I think any girl would be gleaming to see that Chanel bag under the Christmas tree.
Another way to go luxury without having a big budget are perfumes, there are some really beautiful scents and with fancy bottles and at the Perfume Shop they gift wrap so it looks truly exquisite.
The Boys Edit
Despite having 2 brothers, a Dad, and a boyfriend I find it harder and harder to shop for boys! I have totally exhausted the gimmicky gifts… ya know like the mini basketball net for in the toilet or the remote control helicopter type gadgets that they use once on Christmas day. This year I’ve gone for something they’ll actually get good use out of and find worthwhile.
A good old DVD of a movie they missed at the cinema is perfect and something to do during the Christmas holidays when you’re too full to do anything else other than eat even more sweets and sit. If you have a relative that’s into music you could pick them up a vinyl or two! I think every music lover is really into the whole record collection thing!
I find gifting clothes (t-shirts) to men easier than girls! With their sizing being much easier and it also gives you a great chance to impose some of your amazing fashion sense on your boyfriend or relative! The one above is from French Connection.
And of course Lynx body set(£2.50) never go a miss, you might think they’re boring or run of the mill but believe me, I’m sure many men depend on them at Christmas!
I hope I’ve given you some giftspiration!
