Bobbi Brown, a professional makeup artist who was working  in New York doing shoots with the likes of Glamour and Vogue magazine in the 80s and wanted to focus on natural beauty, in 1990 she worked with a chemist to create 10 lipsticks; The Bobbi Brown Essential Line of Lipsticks , in 1991 those 10 lipsticks went on sale in Bergdorf Goodman (A luxury department store on Fifth Avenue in Manhatten, New York… swoooon) Bobbi expected to sell 100 lipsticks in a month but surpassed expectations and sold 100 on her first day! In the next few years, Bobbi goes on to introduce foundation and skincare to her range whilst also selling the company to the Estee Lauder group whilst keeping creative control. In 1996 was launched and Bobbi went on to become an author sharing her beauty tips!  25 years on and Bobbi Brown has gone strength to strength, the brand is now available in 6o+ countries and with over 70 free standing stores now including George Street, Edinburgh

The new Studio in George Street is like heaven for any makeup lover, with makeup stations running along either side of the studio and a larger makeup area in the back. It’s an incredible space and paired with the lovely makeup artists who’s enthusiasm was amazing, and clearly so excited about the new studio was such a refreshing thing to witness. They offer makeup classes to show you how you can do your makeup perfectly, and in this makeup haven, I can’t think of anything better. The Studio is open now in George Street, Edinburgh.   I love the little touches that have been added which you will see in the photos below! I really recommend a visit.

I was lucky enough to have my makeup done and colour matched by one of the lovely makeup artists, Lara… it was so much fun sitting back and being talked through the products and how best to use them… again Lara’s enthusiasm was brilliant and I was impressed with all the products she used on me.
