One of the top makeup trends of the moment is highlighting, there is no escaping, everyone is becoming highlighting junkies. From cheekbones to brow bones to the tip of the nose and the top of the lip. It can be all a little bit intimidating, there are some sought after high-end highlighters but today I’m going to share a few of my favourite high street (drugstore) highlighters that will have you blinding folk left right and centre… or ya know just a muted healthy glow whatever tickles your pickle.

BarryM Cosmic Lights Highlighting Palette BarryM Highlighter Palette Cosmic Lights

Starting with a recent release from Barry M Cosmic Lights (£7.99) palette with 6 highlighting shades. You’re sure to find the perfect highlight with this little compact with 4 creams and 2 powders, they work well to create a subtle glow or if you’re anything like my sister and like your cheekbones to be seen from the moon then the Cosmic Lights palette won’t let you down. It applies to the cheekbones so delicately with instant results but blends if you’re wanting to look more natural.
There are white and pink colours as well as golden which is perfect for that golden goddess look.
I also have to mention the packaging, it is so unbelievably pretty with the Ombre blue and purple and then the silver illustration. It’s fun without looking too tacky.

Makeup Revolution Vivid Highlighter

Makeup Revolution is great if you’re on a budget, this beautiful single Vivid baked highlighter in the colour Peach Lights (£3) is one that I reach for often, I like a little glow and this one is perfect for that but my sister has also built the shade up to be very pigmentated. I do love the purple glitters that illuminate when the light hits it. This is a great option if you’re not crazy on highlighting, it’s great quality without being expensive.

Sleek Sosltice Highlighter Palette Sleek Solstice Swatches

The palette to sweep the beauty community by storm was Sleeks Highlighting Palette in Solstice(£9.99) which includes 3 powders and one cream. If you are a highlighting lover you need this little compact, the pigmentation is incredible the lilac shade is so beautiful and is my personal favourite of the four. This is my sister’s go-to highlighter for those blinding days.
What I like about this palette is that it gives off a more luxurious vibe with the gold packaging.

I hope you like my picks – I’d love to know what your favourite budget highlighters are!
