How on earth are we more than half way through the year? As we’re saying goodbye to the “brighter” “Summer” months I’m trying to grab every day where it’s not raining by the hands and get out the house. I actually don’t mind if it’s cooler, truth be told myScottish born blood prefers it when it’s cooler but I hate when it’s raining when I’ve planned to go out. In fact I’ve had to stop planning weekends of going out for walks and discovering little beauties, as more often than not it’s raining. And there is nothing more disappointing that plans falling to the wayside.
September hasn’t been so bad, though. Granted we’re only eleven days in.
Last weekend I had planned (dangerous territory) a girls day in Edinburgh with my little sister. I wanted to show her some of the areas where she’s used to seeing through the car window this time on her own two feet. From a lunch and a little bit of shopping to a wander through the cobbled streets. Our final destination was Circus Lane. A very narrow and small street filled with cute and colourful little houses. It’s a beauty.
This is a very me outfit, from the Asos(£16) denim dress, that is very girly, free-flowing and casual. In my recent Primark Haul, I showed you my new Checked shirt (£10), it’s a little oversized and very soft and comfy. Will I ever tire of plaid shirts I hear you ask? No… probably not for a long time.
My shoes are a very new purchase from Vans, I’ve been wanting a pair of slip on vans for a while but never being able to decide on a print I liked. I wanted something that I could wear with everything but still had a cool design. The ‘Run Away With Me’ print, I feel mixes my two wants very well. The black and white making it easy to wear with everything but the graffiti style writing gives them a little more edge. The best part is I picked them up from the new TK Maxx store in the city centre, so they only cost £19.99 (RRP £60) Bargain of the year. My quilted bag is from Forever 21, it’s the perfect day bag… I fit everything I need including my Olympus pen.
