I can hardly believe that Autumn is almost rolling around again, my makeup is in that kinda in between summer pinks and autumn browns and reds. This months makeup update has a slight transitional feel to it.
Starting with the base I use Bobbi Browns Face Base*, a brilliant moisturiser and primer in one which creates the perfect base for you to apply your foundation on. I’m still using Laura Mercier silk cream foundation, which as much as it is a nice foundation and gives a nice finish, I feel like when I put a little bit on my hand it dries very quickly before I get a chance to apply it to my face. However take note that a little goes a long way.
I did a little contour using Charlotte Tilbury’s Bronze and Glow palette, contouring is something I’ve been doing a lot more this month. I’m still slightly to shy to do anything severe but I’m getting there. On my cheeks, I’m wearing my complete fave, Tarte amazonian clay blush in True Love. This gives a pretty flush to the cheeks, it’s an all round the year pink. You don’t pick up too much product so you never get the dreaded over done blush look.
I used my trusty and well-loved Zoeva Buffer Brush to apply my foundation and the face paint brush to apply my contour. And the gorgeous tapered brush from the bold metals collection from Real Techniques
For my eyes, I’ve moved away from the bright pink that I was wearing during the more dominant summer months (Summer Makeup) I’ve opted for a more neutral dusky pink, using the Makeup Revolution, ultra matte 32 eyeshadow palette. This is another fantastic palette from makeup revolution, perfect for anyone who loves a matte neutral eye. I also love using the Tartelette Palette for duskier pinks. I’ve taken two shades and blended them together. I’m using Bobbi Brown Gel Liner* with the ultra fine liner brush* I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This is the best gel liner I’ve ever used. So creamy, so long lasting! it’s winning. YSL’s baby doll mascara is always a winner in my book, perfect for pristine, tidy but long lashes! It’s my go-to mascara for day or night-time.
This lip colour I’ve been wanting to share with you allllll month. It’s from NYX’s liquid suede line, a creamy liquid lipstick that dries matte! I’m wearing the shade sandstorm and I’m 100% obsessed with it. I feel like I just really suit this shade.
So this is my current go-to makeup look, I hope you enjoyed it.
