Long before I became a bit of beauty junkie, it was stationary… I really didn’t like school but I loved getting school-ready in August… I was an avid notebook writer, and as I have gotten older not much has changed I still obsess over stationary. So, of course, I was going to be all over Oh Deer Papergang; a monthly subscription box full of stationary and cute prints.
So before I get on to the contents of Aprils Box, here’s all the info you might need. The box costs £9.95 + £1.95 shipping and payment is taken from your bank account on the first of the month and the boxes are dispatched around the 2oth of the month. There are also different payment options, you can go month by month or pay for 6 months in advance. You’re sure to find an option right for you.
The thing with subscription boxes is that it’s pretty much a gamble, you might not like anything one month and then love everything the next again month. But it’s a nice way to try new things you might not have really looked at before.
The first thing I spotted was a retro wooden ruler, it’s pretty cool but I don’t really use rulers that much so I’ll probably give it to my sister.
This month it came with 2 greetings cards, I really want to be the person who always has a card ready for any occasion, the first card is a little fox with a jumper on, this is a great example of something I probably wouldn’t have purchased myself but now I have it I think it is so adorable! The 2nd card is a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed card, I already know who I’ll be giving this too. So quirky.
In the box was also two prints, again I really want prints and to hang them up, but I never ever get round to buying any. Both having a gold theme to it. I’ll definitely be hanging up the pineapple print, the bird print will be put in the drawer for now.
Lastly, there was a desktop notepad… this kind of thing I’m always going to find a use for!
Time will tell if I keep up the subscription, Oh deer is such a great website full of independent artists creations, so the box is a great way of discovering new items. So I’m pretty excited to keep going.
