It has been *sooooo* long since I last published a nail post and today I’m doing a little edit of a few of the polishes I’ll be wearing now it’s finally Spring… I use to be such a nail polish wearer but I’ve gotten so lazy, I recently organised my nail drawer so It was exciting to re-discover some of the shades that I have and picked out 5 shades which are bright fun and wearable!
A combination from Essie and BarryM which are my two favourite brands and easily accessible for everyone.
First up is Mango by BarryM a very adventurous orange which looks best on tan skin but definitely brightens up my pale skin!
You can get away with one coat but for complete opaqueness 2 layers wouldn’t go a miss! It might not be for everyone but it really does look lovely on the nails! Side Note – I think this may have been renamed Satsuma
For those who looking for a more understated colour nail is Garden Variety by Essie, the quality of Essie polishes is great they’re a little more expensive than BarryM but compared to other nail brands it’s a real winner. I love wearing green and blues on my nails and this colour would work for any time of the year.
A beautiful alternative to the everyday favourite red nail is Passion Fruit from barry M, a pink and red hybrid that was made for Spring and Summer. It’s beautiful & girl, a standout shade to really make your nails pop!
Splash of Grenadine was a real favourite of mine 2 years ago, there was just something about this pink that I loved so much, I always look it out for this time of year. The quality is lovely with only one coat needed. It’s very flattering on the nails and probably one my all time favourite shades.
Pastel shades are lovely especially for spring, however, I found most colours hard to apply, easily chipped and almost get dirty looking. Bikini from the coconut infusion range is one of the best pastel shades I’ve used. It’s very opaque so as little as one layer is enough, it looks neat with and not streaky at all. Being one of the more recent polishes I’ve bought from BarryM it now has a rectangle shape brush which adds to the effortless of application too! The coconut infusion range is also meant to better for your nails! So it’s a real no-brainer when choosing the perfect mint green shade.
What are your favourite spring nail colours?
