So I had a little trip to Superdrug recently as the one in Livingston Centre has had a bit of make-over make-up wise and well it’s every make-up lovers dream… I wish I took photo because it was (insert heart emoji eyes).
Anyways I picked up a few things to add to my make-up bag.
Let start with Make-up Revolutions Newt-rals vs Neutrals palette (£6.99)… I’ve had my eye on this for a while… It has a mixture of pinks, reds and oranges which I’m excited to wear this autumn… i’m into the cranberry and burnt orange eye look…
They also have some more natural colours tooo, I think i’ll be reaching for this palette a lot (i’ll do a full post on it soon)… I’m wearing trend and orangey cranberry shade… i’m excited guys. It also comes with a not completely awful brush…
There has been so much hype over the Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Eye Concealer (£7.99), although i’m pretty sure it’s a product that’s been around for a couple of years (at least the foundation has)…. I’ve been using it for about a month now and i’m so into it… I don’t think i’ve ever used a concealer that i’ve loved so much, it covers up my dark circles and blemishes! And it doesn’t cling to my red dry patches around my nose (i’m painting such a pretty picture here but the struggle is real)….
It has replaced my Urban Decay Naked Concealer….
It’s been a while since I bought anything from Sleek but the counter had been restocked so I decided to pick up a new blusher, i’ve always been a fan of their blushes… they have also re-done their packaging so it now mimics the Nars packaging which makes you feel like you have a luxury product!
Amaryllis (£5.99) is a cream to powder blush it’s medium pink… the pigmentation is really strong so don’t be to liberal when applying or you may look like you’ve been punched in the face…. apply a pinch for the perfect pinch of colour to the cheeks.
The Collection Fast Stroke (waterproof) (£2.99)is another budget product that people love… I’ve used it in the past but wasn’t too impressed but that was many moons ago so I decided to give it another go… Unfortunately i’m just not feeling it… I find it goes on so patchy and wet and quite frankly I can feel it on my eyes like it’s pulling it down… The only thing I can say positively is that it doesn’t budge… I wore it on Saturday evening and fell asleep watching scary movies and when I woke up in the morning, it was in tip top condition… Maybe I have a bad batch… I’ll give it a few more goes until i’ve run out but I have a feeling this won’t be sticking around long….
Lastly I have a new lip product from Topshop beauty…. the lip bullet in Duvet Day (£8.00) appears to be a browny goldeny nude shade but when swatched and applied to lips it is more a pinky brown shade…. I am obsessed with it… such a easy everyday colour…
I love the lipbullets… they make it so easy to apply to the lips to give a very neat finish… It’s matte so it has great lasting power too.
