I have spoken a lot about my dry skin issues, for the last couple of years I had pretty much had it at bay and it would almost never really cause any concern regarding the way my makeup applied. The last month or so my skin has been terribly dry, not only when applying makeup but barefaced my skin looked coarse and dehydrated.
I received two Frezyderm products in the mail from a lovely PR Company… The Moisturising 24hour Long Last Hydrating Cream(£16.50) I was so eager to try as I was at my whits end, this moisturiser is perfect for those who suffer from dry skin and in 20+ age bracket! I love how precise they are with their products, so you can be assured that you’re buying the right product for you. It also claims to be a great base for makeup which I was interested to see if was true – having had a few weeks of my foundation not sitting well at all I was over the moon to find that after the first use of the cream that it was now sitting perfectly. I’ve honestly not had such instant results with a moisturiser before! I’ve been using for around two weeks now and my skin has improved a little however I find it is still dehydrated so I dare not forget to apply this moisturiser, it completely transforms my skin and rejuvenates it, giving me more the feeling of toned skin rather that tightness. I’m hoping that when the weather changes my dryness will decrease but until then this lifesaver will be sitting on my bedside table being used day and night! It’s great knowing that although you may not be able to control your skin that you do have some sort of influence on it.
Another product I was sent is the Hand Barrier Cream(£13.50), I don’t really have any issues with my hands, I don’t often feel like my hands suffer from the daily grind that they go through, although I know they will be. If I have my hands in soapy water or having been using paints my hand can get very dry and sore, the body shop hand creams usually help take that feeling of dryness away for some time, however, the Hand Barrier Cream does the job so much better, my hands become soft and back to their normal condition without me having to reapply cream every few hours. Not to mention it smells so fresh and lovely. I should use hand cream daily rather than when I feel I need to, I’m working on it. These once youthful hands aren’t so young anymore.
What I really like about both products is that they are skin-care centred, they don’t have fancy packaging or quirky names, it does what it says on the tin, focusing on the health of the skin rather than the beauty of it.
