A couple of years ago I bought a table from Ikea where I stored all my make-up, I decided to condense my collection a little and also have it more clumped together rather than spread across a big drawer in which I could store other things (it’s now my craft drawer). I spotted this Trolley from Ikea(£49) I’m having quite the moment with this duck egg blue colour they also come in gray and beige.
I’m so happy with it, it looks so lovely in my room, really brightens it up… and as it’s on wheels it’s easy to move if I want to do my make-up in a different place… a number of times I decided to sit on my bed and do my make-up and forget to bring over a blusher brush…
On the top shelf, I’ve homed all my favourite and most used make-up, along with all my make-up brushes. I’ve used drawers from an acrylic drawer set to separate and store them all. On the left-hand side I have my most worn mascara and eyeliners, the middle has blusher and a couple highlighters and my trusty Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow compact, the third has liquid lipsticks and lipsticks that don’t fit my lipstick holder. This lipstick holder is from Tiger and I hold my favourite and most lipsticks in it, I use a Yankee candle jar to hold my brushes, I feel like as it’s glass it makes it look like it’s taking up less room. Then at the side, I have my fave palettes lined up.
The middle row is a cluster of all the makeup I’m not really up for throwing away but I don’t reach for as much. I use drawer dividers from IKEA to hold everything and a larger lipstick holder holding all other lipsticks, this one is from eBay. I also have an empty Ferrero Roche box holding other lip products. I know toooo many lip products. And at the side, less used palettes.
The bottom row I keep makeup bags and some products that I’m reviewing.
It might not be the super organized solution that many sought after but I’m really happy with it.
