At the end of August, I was taken by great surprise to be informed that I had won tickets to the Apple Music Festival to see Elton John (post will be up soon). I’ve been applying for years and never ever succeeded. After all the excitement sank in I had less than 20 days to book everything. I had a few things I wanted to do whilst in London but mainly I just wanted it to be relaxed.
Here are a few photos from the quick weekend away.
For the first time ever I visited Carnaby Street and without sounding really dramatic I think I found my real home!
All the amazing shops, the cobbled little alleyways the bright colours! I totally fell in love. We also stumbled into Liberty! What an incredible building!
We stumbled into MAC and benefit, both stores were perfect, full of products and decorated so amazingly.
It was such a novelty to go into an actual benefit store rather than standing around a hectic stand in the middle of a department store. Gushing over and swatching M.A.C lipsticks is a favourite pass time.
Whilst in Carnaby street we visited Crumbs and Doilies, a small cake shop on Kingly Court. Megan knew she’d be getting whatever red velvetness they had to offer and I decided to go safe with a triple chocolate cupcake. They were delicious, it’s a definite must if you’re ever in the area. The prices are sooo reasonable too.
Liberty is a beautiful building, I really enjoyed being able to have a leisurely stroll in the Oxford Street area. Everyone was buzzing with Saturday shopping and we were happily browsing and just enjoying the aesthetics of the stores.
I had to take my little sister into the Lush Oxford Street store and it was our first chance to see the new Autumn/Winter collection! I was squealing with excitement.
What are your favourite things to do in London?
