As 2016 has came to an abrupt start, it was time for me to wind up my 2015 scrap book(which i’ll share with you soon)…Something I’ve really enjoyed doing in 2015 and knew quite early on that I would have one for 2016… I headed out to hobby craft to pick up some supplies for this years scrap book.
I really want to up my scrapbooking game, and make the pages more ascetically pleasing, I’m pretty excited about the new things I picked up!
Lets begin with my new book(£6), It’s quite similar to last years book however it has Moroccan Tiles printed in gold all over them. Which I think is quite nice, I found it so hard thinking how to decorate my front cover last year, this kinda fills It up, so all I need to do is add 2016 to the front. These books are currently £6 or 2 for £10 at Hobby Craft… Now on to some bits and bobs! One thing I wasn’t happy 2015’s scrapbook was finding pens to write in the book, I originally bought nice gel pens from La De La… a brand that do all sorts of scrapbooking things but they didn’t show up on the page very well, I found plain old run of the mill crayola pens, which I didn’t have lying around the house and never got round to buying a pack until now, so I’m pretty excited about that. They’re also half price in Hobby Craft at the moment!
I also found these glitter pens from papermaina(£9), which were ridiculously overpriced, I was standing in the asile thinking “am I really as a 25 year old buying glitter pens for £9?” but you know I got home and tested them out and my god do they make me happy… so pretty and without the mess!
I found this little book (£5) filled with random words, which is totally random but I thought it would be a nice addition to the page, and sometimes my hand writing isn’t all that great. It’s also quick and easy as they’re stickers.
Always handy to have is letter stickers and I really like the style of these from American Crafts in the letterman font! (£4) And from the same company these circle typewriter thickers in white and brown and gold for £4 each
I picked up two types of glue, the Crafters Companion Permanent tape pen(£3.00)it appears to be more of a tape than glue which i’m not to sure i’m going to love but we’ll see how we get on. The blue tac glue pen (£2.50) on the other hand is brilliant, it sticks so well and it’s so easy and no mess no fuss.
I also picked up two washi tapes(£2 each) because they’re so good to have a around and I like having different patterns
I picked up a gold and white polka dot and pink arrow design…
These stickers from Dear Lizzy(£4) are super cute, i’m so excited to use them, theres a mixture of cute pictures and phrases!
Also from Dear Lizzy are these little cards in different shapes (which I can’t find a link too unfortunately but instore at hobby craft they have lots of the Dear Lizzy Range.) They are so adorable! I think this may be one of my favourite things i’ve bought
Let me know if you’re scrapbooking this year and what you love to use to decorate it!
